Terms of Service

Welcome to BoardHopper

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BoardHopper's platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using BoardHopper, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

1. Basic Terms

1.1 Who Can Use BoardHopper

You may use BoardHopper if:

  • You are at least 13 years of age
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
  • You provide accurate information when creating an account

1.2 Types of Users

BoardHopper serves two types of users:

Organization Users (B2B):

  • Cafe owners, event organizers, and community managers
  • Use BoardHopper to manage operations, inventory, and participants
  • Subscribe to paid plans for continued access
  • Responsible for their team members' actions

Participant Users (B2C):

  • Individuals who visit cafes, attend events, or participate in tournaments
  • May create personal accounts to track activity across venues
  • Use BoardHopper for free
  • Manage their own profiles and preferences

1.3 Account Creation

To use certain features of BoardHopper, you must create an account by:

  • Providing a valid email address
  • Verifying your email through our one-time password (OTP) system
  • Completing required profile information

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Keep your account secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You may not:

  • Create multiple accounts for the same person
  • Share your account with others
  • Use another person's account without permission
  • Create accounts using automated means
  • Impersonate another person or entity

1.4 Your Responsibilities

As a user of BoardHopper, you agree to:

  • Use the Service lawfully and in accordance with these Terms
  • Respect the rights and property of others
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Not upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
  • Not collect or harvest information about other users without permission
  • Not use the Service to spam, harass, or abuse others

For Organization Users:

  • Ensure your team members comply with these Terms
  • Maintain accurate records of participants and transactions
  • Use participant information only for legitimate business purposes
  • Comply with all applicable laws regarding data protection
  • Pay subscription fees on time
  • Not resell or redistribute the Service

For Participant Users:

  • Provide accurate contact information to organizations
  • Return borrowed items on time
  • Attend events you register for or cancel in advance
  • Respect venue rules and policies
  • Behave appropriately at events and in community spaces

2. Using BoardHopper

2.1 Service Description

For Organizations:

  • Digital participant management and check-in
  • Game library inventory tracking
  • Lending and borrowing management
  • Event creation and registration
  • Tournament organization and bracket management
  • Analytics and reporting
  • Team collaboration with role-based access

For Participants:

  • Unified profile across multiple venues
  • Borrowing history tracking
  • Event discovery and registration
  • Tournament participation
  • Personal gaming statistics
  • Community engagement features

2.3 Subscriptions and Payments

Free Trial:

  • New organizations receive a 14-day free trial
  • Full access to all features during trial
  • No credit card required for trial
  • Trial automatically ends after 14 days

Billing:

  • Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually
  • Payment is due at the start of each billing period
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We may change prices with 30 days' notice

2.4 Event Ticket Payments

Non-Refundable Payments

All event ticket payments made through the BoardHopper platform are non-refundable. Once a payment is processed, it cannot be reversed or credited back to the original payment method.

Any exception to this policy is solely at the discretion of BoardHopper platform management. Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis by contacting contact@boardhopper.in, but no refund is guaranteed.

  • Payments are final upon successful transaction confirmation
  • Event cancellations or rescheduling by the organiser do not automatically entitle you to a refund
  • Platform management reserves the right to make all final decisions on refund requests

3. Content and Intellectual Property

3.1 BoardHopper's Intellectual Property

All aspects of the Service are protected by intellectual property rights. The BoardHopper name, logo, branding, software, design, and content are our proprietary property.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile our software
  • Remove copyright notices or branding
  • Use our trademarks without written permission
  • Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service

7. Disclaimers and Limitations

7.1 Service "As Is"

BOARDHOPPER IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or meet your requirements.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

BoardHopper shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business interruption.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, please contact us at contact@boardhopper.in to describe the dispute. Give us 30 days to resolve the issue.

BY USING BOARDHOPPER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MUST NOT USE THE SERVICE.
